The cottages have comfortable, contemporary interiors and a wood-burning stove to warm guests; There is enough room for two dogs, meaning large groups can rent this unique lodge.

Brighton is one of the most dog-friendly cities in England. There are plenty of walks around the city, its beaches, pavilion gardens and parks such as the nearby South Downs, but Brighton is also home to dog-friendly businesses, including many pubs and cafes.

You can take your dog along the seafront on the Volk Electric Railway, or visit one of the city’s dog-focused events, such as the Dogtimber event at Saltdine Lido (where dogs and owners meet on weekend afternoons Seen at 9, you can swim during four daily sessions between September and October).

Nestled among the hills and overlooking the cliffs of the Carrick coast, these three cabins offer a relaxing retreat with panoramic views across the water to the Isle of Arran. Dogs will enjoy the space to run around the nearby beaches or forests, and they can sit with you while you enjoy a meal at the nearby Pub Anchorage in Denver Village. They’ll appreciate the fireplace as much as you do when it’s time to settle in (although they probably won’t appreciate the hot tub or the views as much).
