The city of Port St. We start with the BayWalk, a gravel path that leads from Frank Pate Park to the beach with stunning views of Bay St. These trails lead you to the historic Cape San Blas Lighthouse, built 130 years ago and relocated here in 2014.

The middle section has public access to the beach, residential areas, restaurants, shops and other businesses. West End is an exclusive, gated residential community with the Gulf of Mexico’s most expensive homes and its own runway.

Our first stop was a state park, where we discovered again that the campgrounds and trails are pet friendly, but the beach is not. Still, it’s nice to have variety, and our dogs really enjoyed the 2.5 mile hike through the pine forest from Gap Point. (The parking lot is a campground, and the trail is to the left of the playground.)
