While you’ll be within walking distance of all the Stateline action, there’s plenty to do if you stay home and hang out with your dog. (Not a bad choice, in our opinion.) The local restaurant, Tens Crow BBQ, is one of the best in the area and has an indoor hot tub and sauna for all seasons. Also, if Fido likes Monopoly, there are plenty of family games for him.

But when you come to Hotel Becket, what really wins our hearts is the special for the dog. Designed for pet lovers and their pets, the Canine Friends Special means your hotel stay comes with dog-approved perks, such as special dog treats on arrival and a comfy bed for your furry friend’s ultimate vacation experience.

A few blocks from the Stateline action, Americana Village Suites is an affordable and popular option. A charming hotel with many beautiful rooms, it reminds you not to be fooled by appearances – this place does. Don’t be afraid to pack your gear, there are free snowshoe and sled rentals in the winter, free bike rentals, and year-round access to the heated pool and hot tub.

Well-equipped kitchens in every room have an American family atmosphere, plus bonus features are laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, free movie rentals, daily continental breakfast and fresh popcorn on the porch. And while they don’t actively advertise that they’re pet-friendly, your pooch is more than welcome at Americana Village Suites. To prove it, they even have a safe dog.

With the pet-friendly package at the Azure Hotel, we’re told we’re as “dog friendly as they come,” and we’d have to agree. Unlike most hotels where a daily pet fee gets you and your pet in, Hotel Azure’s fee includes a comfortable dog bed, dog bowl, free dog grooming and a dog bag.

An easy drive from the Stateline, Hotel Azure also has a convenient location between the lake, bowling alley, and many of South Lake Tahoe’s favorite bars and restaurants. This is a huge plus because even though dogs are not allowed in the rooms unsupervised, there are still plenty of local places to enjoy with your dog.

Recently renovated in the ultimate rustic style, Hotel Azure offers a heated outdoor pool and hot tub, as well as a fitness center, Wi-Fi and free parking. Boat tours and boat rentals are free for guests, making it incredibly easy to get to the best of the area.
