Best Dog Friendly Resorts Texas – One of the most common questions I get is if the glamping sites I go to around Texas are dog friendly! So I’ve teamed up with my friends at Hipcamp to suggest some of our favorite glamping spots near Austin. And if you’re new to Hipcamp, you can sign up here for $10 off your first stay!
One of my favorite things about Hipcamp is that they have a “pets” filter that you can use when searching for camping and glamping sites on their site or app. This makes finding pet-friendly glamping a breeze!
Best Dog Friendly Resorts Texas
Is this the ultimate glamping destination in Texas? Located near Bastrop in Page, Texas, The Hobbit’s Nest Tree is an escape from the woods. As you might have guessed, this property is Lord of the Rings themed, with lots of little decorative pieces to bring The Shire to life.
Dog Friendly Places In San Antonio
And best of all, they’re one of your favorite places for dogs. In fact, their owners live nearby and their two dogs walk the grounds and will probably stop by the treehouse to say hello!
There is no WiFi, but there is a grill, a toilet, a shower and a mini fridge, so I recommend cooking on site and really tearing it down. Also, the sounds of nature here are top notch, especially their “frog chorus” which you can hear from the beautiful lily pond that looks like a tree house.
This beautiful glamping retreat is located outside of Dripping Springs in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Options here at Lucky Arrow Retreat (get a $10 Hipcamp discount for new users) include houses, cabins, and bungalows, depending on the size of your party and the type of experience you’re looking for. If you really want to see your eyes, yurts are the best option for you, as described below.
Each can accommodate one or two people and has access to a nearby shared bathroom. For something more hotel-like, there are Courtyard Cabins, Breezeway Cabins and Patio Cabins, each of which sleeps four and has its own bathroom.
Crystal Beach Pet Friendly Activities
Although this property is dog and cat friendly, you will need to pay a $150 pet fee, which you can do at the Hipcamp desk when you book (this also guarantees you’ll be put in one of their pet-friendly rooms).
If you’ve ever wanted to sleep in a converted shipping container, the FlopHouze Shipping Container Hotel in Round Top, TX is what you’ve been looking for. Sit around the fire pit and enjoy some wonderful stargazing, swim in their indoor pool, and go into town to shop for tons of antiques.
If you really want to have a good time, book your stay at the Round Top Antiques Fair (just book in advance because people come from all over!). And yes, pets are allowed for free!
Located near Bastrop, Greenleaf Reserve has four luxury yurts to choose from. If you’re bringing your pet, their pet-friendly yurt is The Copper Lily ($10 off Hipcamp for new users).

The yurt sleeps 4 and includes amenities such as a full private bathroom and access to the hiking trail. They even offer a guided walking tour for an additional $25 with your purchase. They also have things like kayak rentals available upon request!
Ranch 3232 offers exclusive Texas Hill Country lodging with cabin rentals, air-conditioned tents, RV sites, campsites, and even a gypsy wagon (you’ll lose $10 off Hipcamp for new users). The Johnson City property is also 2.5 miles from Pedernales Falls State Park, making it perfect if you want to hike the state park during your stay.
My favorite is the Bird House, their mini carriage room, although I would only recommend it for a solo stay (+ dog). It’s too small! If you’re looking for something bigger, cabins are a great option. At the time of writing, their glamping tents do not allow dogs.
It’s always best to check which rooms in each area are pet friendly as sometimes not all rooms in a property and policies can change!
Texas Pet Friendly Getaways :: 350 Acre Working Ranch Vacation
Located on Lake Bastrop, GLAT Austin offers luxury glamping safari tents that sleep 3-6 people, depending on which tent you choose ($10 off Hipcamp for new users). They also have several cabins with their own private hot tubs, among other amenities like fire pits that every room on the property has.
Mystic Quarry in Canyon Lake, Texas is the perfect place to stay if you want to go tubing in the summer! Their sites range from tiny houses, teepees, tents, and glamping cabins to RV sites and tent sites (get $10 off Hipcamp for new users). You can relax by the pool, go tubing on the nearby Guadalupe River, attend a concert at the Whitewater Amphitheater, or spend the day at Canyon Lake.
If you filter by pets allowed, you’ll see that they have a variety of dog-friendly glamping options, including their safari lodges (my personal favorite), this house’s little premium, and some cabins.
One of my favorite things about Mystic Quarry? They are located on 10 acres with recreational facilities such as beach volleyball, lawn games, community pool, hiking trails, bocce court, dog pool and dog park, and more. You can read more about their dog policy here.

She goes wherever the wind takes her! Everyone needs a change of scenery every now and then, including pets! (Not to mention, it can be really hard to leave your four-legged best friend to go on a family vacation.) So we decided to find the best pet-friendly hotels in every state in the US. (including Washington, D.C.!) – and you’ll be happy to know that there are dozens of properties ready to welcome a furry friend. In fact, in some cases we have to give an honorary name to a second hotel in each state.
Best Texas Resorts With Waterparks + Lazy Rivers
So what exactly does a pet friendly hotel do? Well, for starters, welcome your four-legged (and sometimes two-legged) friends, happily and with open arms! But for many of the hotels on this list, they do more than just let Fido share the pillow at night.
For example, the Rhode Island Ocean House offers beautiful luxury beds. The Illinois Peninsula Hotel has its own “Pet Menu” with options for your dog (like the Beagle Burger) or your kitty (Siamese Salmon Steak). And New York’s Soho Grand includes its own dog park (shared with its pet-friendly sister property, the Roxy Hotel).
This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to animal welfare on this list. Read about our favorite hotels in the United States.
Hotel Indigo Orange Beach Gulf Shores, Alabama allows up to two 40-pound dogs per room and wants to make sure your furry friends feel welcome from the moment they walk through the door, hence the treats and the tennis ball table. The table also includes a photo board with Polaroid photos of the guests of the attending pets. (With your permission, they’ll even take your pup!) But, perhaps best of all, the hotel is located at one of the entrances to Gulf Coast State Park, which boasts 26 miles of hiking trails. to dogs and its own dog park. .
Best Dog Friendly Campgrounds In The U.s
The Harbor 360 Hotel in Seward, Alaska is beautiful and not just because it has free amenities. All pet friendly rooms on a beach property close to tourists and the beach do not have carpets (because we all know accidents can happen). And the best part? There is no limit on the type of animal you can bring, as long as it weighs less than 65 pounds.
If you want to treat your pets like royalty (who doesn’t?), head to a hotel with royalty named after them, like the Fairmont Princess Scottsdale. All pet guests (both dogs and cats are welcome) are provided with soft bedding, water and food bowls, toys,
Treats Plus, the hotel is 65 acres, which means there’s plenty of room to run around. (Bonus: There’s a PetSmart down the street, just in case!)
