If you are looking for one of the best views in Auckland, North Head in Devonport is your stop. From the top of North Head you can see Devonport Harbour, Cheltenham Beach, Rangitoto Island and the city of Auckland. There are some historical items from the naval battery. It is a large open beach where dogs can run freely. To get to the off-leash area you have to walk through a forest, and once you get to the lagoon the whole beach is an off-leash dog beach. I recommend going here if you have time to wash your fur baby. It’s quite a drive to get there, but it’s an absolutely beautiful beach and overall a beautiful place. My family had a lot of fun here!

The conservatories include two Victorian-style conservatories overlooking the courtyard.
