Dog Friendly Pub Accommodation Yorkshire Dales & Coast

With wild farmland, lush green valleys and beautiful riverside paths – not to mention rugged hills – it’s no wonder Yorkshire has become a magnet for dog owners. In response, many pubs, hotels and B&Bs now have dog-friendly rooms, even in some cities. Some have ground-floor rooms with a private patio, others offer treats like beds and dog treats, and many allow dogs into the bar or lounge so they can join their owners at mealtimes. Here are the best dog friendly hotels in Yorkshire and in and around Ripon, Scarborough, Skipton, York and the Dales.

Beck Hall is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the Yorkshire Dales, making it an ideal base for walkers and nature lovers. Food (mainly made with Dales produce) is served in the modern restaurant and bar, and afternoon tea can be enjoyed in a cozy setting featuring an open fire. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant and free of charge in the 21 rooms (sleeps three).

The former Victorian farmhouse, all ivy-covered golden stone, cream sash windows, has been beautifully extended with additional wings and two patios with beautiful water features. Inside, the goal was to maintain a cottage feel, but with a rustic twist. Dogs are very welcome (£10 per night) and can dine with their owners in the conservatory. The 32 rooms are all very large, some with four-poster beds.
