Meridian Hill Park is one of the city’s most popular parks with plenty of room for dogs to stretch their legs. If your dog likes a beat, there is a drum beat in the park on Sundays. Note: The lower square is currently closed.
The Best Dog Friendly Places In Ireland’s Ancient East
Rock Creek Park offers approximately 1,800 acres of natural beauty and over four miles of trails that serve as a downtown oasis for you and your dog. Another option is Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens, located along the Anacostia River, as it offers beautiful water gardens to enjoy while walking your dog.
Adventure DC Tricycle Tours offers a dog-friendly travel option. Dogs are welcome in taxis and, with your permission, experienced dog handlers will accompany and even walk them as you enter memorial sites where dogs are not allowed. Whether you use their service or not, they have a free dog-friendly map of the National Mall (and other free maps) available for download.

Dog Walks In Wakefield
The Hay-Adams, one of Washington’s premier historic hotels, allows one dog over 25 pounds per room free of charge. Puppies weighing up to 15 pounds can stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington at no extra charge (you can bring two). Four-legged guests of any breed up to 50 pounds are welcome at The Jefferson, and dog bowls, beds, treats and more are available. In the upscale Georgetown neighborhood of Fairmont, Washington, Georgetown welcomes pets free of charge and offers handmade treats, maps of nearby parks, and leash and collar rentals.
Other options: Sofitel, DC Lafayette Square accepts dogs up to 50 pounds with a $500 refundable deposit. The ultra-modern Eaton DC allows you to transport two pets of any size at no extra charge. Both dogs and cats are welcome. Pet beds, food and water bowls are available upon request.
Yours Truly DC allows dogs up to 70 pounds. No extra charge, with free treats from Doggie Style Bakery and a special Bowser beer for dogs at check-in. Viceroy DC allows 2 pets of any size at no extra charge and both dogs and cats are allowed. The hotel provides treats, bowls, bedding, garbage bags and room door hangers for four-legged guests.
