There are several airlines from the US that allow you to buy a car seat for your dog. One of the US airlines that has allowed this is Alaska Airlines. You can buy an adjoining seat so you can carry two pets in the cabin in two carriers, one under each seat.
For extra seats you will have to pay for the actual seat plus the second rate. It is currently $100 USD/CAD each way.
Please note that your pet carrier will count towards your Alaska Airline carry-on fee instead of your carry-on bag or luggage. I don’t believe you get money for extra bags in the second seat.
Most European airlines do not allow you to purchase extra seats for your pet. One of the few airlines that offers this is Belvia, the flag carrier of Belarus.
Most Pet Friendly Airlines
The main advantage of buying additional pet furniture in Balvia is that the weight and size limits of the carrier are higher with this method. If the pet is traveling in a carrier under the seat in front of you, its maximum weight including the carrier is limited to 8 kg.
However, if you buy a seat for your pet, the pet and its carrier can weigh up to 23 kg, and the carrier is limited to 55 x 40 x 40 cm and the length of the carrier under the front seat.
