Places To Visit On The East Coast – One of the things I love about the US is how different it is from state to state. It’s one of those countries where you can move between provinces and places to see a completely different part of the country, which is actually quite interesting (did you say travel?).
I’ve made several trips to the United States over the years and have truly enjoyed every opportunity to get in a car (or train if you must) to experience its vastness.

Honestly, one of the biggest things I still love about the East Coast is the beach. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sweeter room at a better price. East coast nailed me!

All the beaches have a rich history, cute chocolate box villages to explore and natural beauty that always looks different depending on when you visit.
With that in mind, I wanted to share some of my favorite places that you should visit on your trip to the East Coast.
Some get crowded near the pier, and others in a few hours. No big deal, they’re all in the East, so why are they all “East Coast”, especially considering the size of the country.

After a recent 5-day trip, I’m dying to get back there and explore more. Now, many people seem to think of Fort Lauderdale as a “branch” of Miami.
I promise, it’s not. It has a completely different vibe and features that are amazing if you want to combine cool weather, culture and lots of beautiful scenery.
Unlike Miami, Fort Lauderdale’s beaches are very quiet and peaceful, but just as (if not more) beautiful and perfect for soaking up the sun.

If you want art, go to Hollywood, Florida, which is the other side of town. Here you’ll find a community known for its unique street art from artists from around the world.
If you like nature, head to the Everglades and enjoy the local wildlife (you definitely won’t have to see a few alligators while you’re there).
Now, you can’t even talk about the East Coast without mentioning New York, can you? This magical city may seem overwhelming, but spend a few days here and we guarantee you will fall in love with its power.

If you’re looking for history, visit places like; The Lincoln Memorial, the US Capitol, the Supreme Court and America’s most famous building, the White House.
This small historic town has great coffee shops, independent shops and beautiful buildings to admire.
How To Plan The Perfect East Coast Road Trip
The city also has some of the best museums in the country, including the American History Museum, the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, the National Museum of Art, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and the National Museum of American History.
Oh, and don’t forget to spend an afternoon at Eastern Market, bike around town, and hang out with Busboys and Poets (they serve delicious tofu and coconut waffles).

The White Mountains are a dream for nature lovers! I promise you, if you’re looking for a beautiful area on the east coast (away from the cities), you’ll love this area.
There’s a whole community of businesses and people who really embrace this beautiful building – things like horseback riding, elk safaris, swimming in the Saco River (which is really cool), and kayaking.
If you’re looking for more of a challenge, there are a whole bunch of challenging climbs (I’ll call you Mount Washington) where you can work up a sweat and eat your lunch!
Boston is a city worth visiting not because of its important role in American history, but because it has so much to offer.

If you’re visiting the city for the first time, visit monuments like Plymouth Rock, walk the Freedom Trail, explore Beacon Hill, head to the Charles River Esplanade, or simply breathe in Boston’s beautiful public gardens. Dubova St.
It is also within easy reach of Harvard, one of the most popular schools in the United States. There are also several cafes, shops and red brick houses throughout the area.

Needless to say, the best time to visit Salem is October, when the witching hour is at its peak!
For a delicious, truly local brewery experience, head to Salem Beer Works, which has a great selection of amazing beers that change almost weekly.
Stroll through the historic district, see the beauty of Wormsloe Plantation, admire the amazing houses on Jones Street, take a carriage ride through the city, shop at unique boutiques and antique shops, visit the famous Bonaventure Cemetery or simply stroll through the Ghost grounds. Tour!
